My Approach to Helping
I value the opportunity to be trusted as part of your mental health journey. Through a healthy rapport, I hope to be a trusting, supportive, and safe person in your life. Together, we can help you to be your best self, work through the "tough stuff", process a trauma, and improve your relationships (with yourself and others!). I provide a safe, supportive environment for all individuals and couples that I work with.
My specialties include working with teens, young adults, college students, and adults working through symptoms related to traumatic events, depression, anxiety, life adjustment issues, and body imageself-esteem issues. I also have professional training and clinical experience working with those working through sexual and relational traumas. People start to heal as soon as they feel heard. I want to listen.
I have immediate openings for clients with options for in-person sessions at my office in North Bethesda, MD or teletherapy sessions for any client in Maryland or Virginia. Please reach out to me for a free consult or with additional questions or concerns - or just to say hi! I look forward to speaking with you soon!
More Info About My Practice
My office is located in North Bethesda, MD, convenient to all areas of Montgomery County, MD. I foster a safe, "living room" vibe in my office. Our practice has refreshments and a comfortable waiting room for your convenience as well. Through teletherapy, I am pleased to be able to see clients virtually throughout the states of Maryland and Virginia.
My Role as a Therapist
I am here to guide you, listen to you, and at some point, maybe make you laugh with my very dry sense of humor! You are in the "drivers seat" of our session - you determine the speed and process that works for you and I am here in the "passenger seat" to guide you through the roadblocks, help direct you, and be there to keep you company in this difficult journey (Don't worry, I won't be a backseat driver!). It is my hope that I can provide you with a safe person to confide in that will not judge you. I want to be that person for you.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Starting therapy is one of the hardest, yet most amazing, things we can do for ourselves. I've been on the other side of the couch- the client. I know first hand how helpful it can be. We will go at your pace, work through whatever it is you are dealing with, and help you live your best life. My clients have all felt very pleased to be in therapy, and you will too. I am proud of you for taking this first step!
