My Approach to Helping
I value the opportunity to be a part of each client's mental health journey. By forming a healthy rapport with each client, I work to help with managing the difficulties that life brings. Together, we can help you to be your best self, work through the "tough stuff", process a trauma, andor improve your relationships (with yourself and others!). I provide a safe, supportive environment for all individuals and couples that I work with.
My specialties include working with teens, young adults, and adults working through symptoms related to traumatic events, depression, anxiety, life adjustment issues, and body imageself-esteem issues. I also have professional training and clinical experience working with those working through sexual and relational traumas.
I cater my approach to each client's needs and goals. Primarily, I utilize techniques such as: Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. When working with those struggling with body image concerns, I work from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective.
