My Approach to Helping
We all have unproductive thoughts and feelings from time to time and the thought of therapy can feel overwhelming. The key is to talk to someone who can listen and help guide you to positive solutions. As a psychologist, I strive to form a supportive trusting relationship with my clients to help foster growth. I respond to the needs of my clients in a nonjudgmental way. In therapy, I utilize a goal oriented therapy approach which focuses on how thinking influences behavior. I help clients navigate the process of identifying and challenging faulty thinking. Coping strategies and other positive interventions are utilized to help make lasting change. I have over twenty-five years working in school settings and I have extensive work with youth, adults, and family systems. In addition, I have worked collaboratively with school systems and community supports. If you need help, do not wait another moment.
