My Approach to Helping
Hello, I'm Rona. How can I help you?
It may be a simple way to start a counseling relationship, but isn't that really the key question? Shopping for a therapist or counselor usually means that you are struggling. There's some life event or challenging situation that's interrupting your life plan, and you're thinking that talking to someone about it would be helpful. You may be right, and that's why I'm here; to help you.
You want a therapist who recognizes that the most important factor in the equation is YOU and YOUR family. That you are unique with specific challenges that are deeply personal and profoundly important. You're not a client, not a case study; you're a human being brave enough to seek help in a time in your life where you may feel incredibly vulnerable. That's exactly how I welcome you to my practice - with dignity and compassion.
What would make your life or your relationship better? What specific life transition are you considering? Let's find out together. Visit my website or call to learn more, to validate my credentials, to ask a question or to request an appointment.

My Therapy Focus
Life is challenging. While you may have successfully navigated through other difficulties you've faced, seeking out extra support when you need it is admirable. One focus of my practice is to help you when you marriage may be on the brink of divorce. Discernment Counseling is for couples when one partner wants to work on the marriage and the other may be ready to separate or divorce. Usually both are confused about how best to proceed. Discernment Counseling is a short term process (up to 5 sessions) to help couples increase their confidence and clarity about the next steps in the marriage with a fuller understanding of each person's contribution to the current situation. Please visit my website for more information on how Discernment Counseling can help you.
