My Approach to Helping
When we experience traumatic, intense or habitual stressors, we tend to wear down over time. Realizing something needs to change, we reach out for help. It has become my life's passion to provide help and relief in the lives of those individuals ready for change. I collaborate with my client to find his or her own answers. I believe, that we already know what the answers are to our unique challenges. Sometimes we simply need someone to help guide us through the process of discovering those answers.
I practice a trauma informed approach that takes into account the experiences of early development through to the current circumstances that have contributed to the present daily challenges. Working to integrate those challenging or disruptive parts of our selves, with the whole self, one finds that many of the current issues and addictions fade into nothingness.
I view therapy, as a collaborative effort between client and therapist. We takes into account the uniqueness of the person, his or her life experiences, past, current and future needs and desires. Each session has the possibility of be a unique blend of Talk, EMDR and Mindfulness therapy.
