My Approach to Helping

You’re suffering. You’re experiencing infertility issues and your world has collapsed. You’re feeling sad, hurt, confused, angry, and isolated. Family and friends, although well-meaning, cannot provide you meaningful support. They don’t understand your pain and frustration. You need help coping with these big feelings. You may need help reconnecting with your partner because fertility concerns often create communication problems and misunderstandings.

The family building journey can be a confusing and overwhelming time, especially if getting pregnant hasn’t been as easy as you had hoped. Infertility impacts all aspects of your life; your relationships, your outlook, and how you feel about yourself. If you’re experiencing infertility, considering assisted reproductive technologies or adoption to create your family, I can help.

You don’t need to go through this alone.

Using a holistic perspective, I help clients overcome emotional pain stemming from reproductive health challenges. I’ll provide the tools and resources to help you feel better fast. You’ll achieve a sense of calm. You’ll regain control & clarity. You’ll feel confident in your ability to make decisions. You’ll be better able to advocate for yourself.

Everyone who dreams of creating a family of their own deserves the opportunity. I support individuals, couples, the LGBTQ+ community, single parents by choice, who are experiencing infertility, considering ART or adoption on their family building journey.

More Info About My Practice

You may wonder what to expect, if you've never been to therapy before. Effective therapy will enable you to receive support, explore your options, gain clarity, and help you develop resilience to navigate your path forward.

You’ll find me to be empathetic, warm, compassionate, and grounded in intuitive awareness. I’ll take the time to truly get to know you, and together, we’ll build a relationship that’s based on integrity, mutual respect, and, of course, complete confidentiality.

Your therapy will be wholly focused on you, your needs, and your agenda. You can be assured of a safe, non-judgmental space in which to think, share, explore new ideas, identify actionable strategies, and practice fresh approaches.

You’ll benefit from psychoeducation which includes developing problem-solving and communication skills and provides education and resources, skill-building, and guidance, and you will be empowered to achieve the profound results you are seeking.

Prepare to become fully engaged, develop more knowledge, self-awareness, profound wisdom, and take action, leading to transformative shifts in your mindset and behavior. You will reclaim your inner focus, energy, and, most of all, your joy.

Mine is an entirely virtual practice treating individuals and couples throughout California. Regardless of where you're located, telehealth treatment offers you highly individualized, quality care, complete privacy, confidentiality, as well as the ability to connect from your laptop, your tablet, smartphone, anywhere you have a good wi-fi connection.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

It was my own experience with infertility, two high risk pregnancies, and very difficult births that motivated me to work with couples and individuals, like you, facing similar life events. I believe in the transformational power of the therapeutic relationship. We heal through the telling and retelling of our stories, we benefit greatly from the catharsis that comes from sharing our anguish and pain with someone who has been on a similar journey.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

Wondering whether working with me will benefit you? Excellent question.

Psychotherapy is most effective when a trusting, respectful and caring relationship has developed between client(s) and their chosen psychotherapist. Genuine empathy, alliance, and a client's experience of being seen, heard, respected and understood by their therapist are essential for psychotherapy to be successful.

You and I will be looking in the same direction throughout your treatment, to identify your goals, manage your anxiety, lower stress, find solutions, and help you feel like yourself, again.
