My Approach to Helping
People change within a context that is relationship based, and provides the safety to allow for new experiences. My clients and I both contribute to the therapy process through genuine presence, active participation, and sincere involvement. Freedom from self perpetuating coping that is no longer useful, occurs as old feelings and memories are acknowledged and processed, and new effective coping is learned.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy helps people grow when the therapy relationship provides the enviorment within which people can explore their thoughts, beliefs, and feelings and feel acknowledged. Often this can mean the resolution of old emotional wounds, as new flexible ways of experiencing the world and connecting with others are learned.
