Who do I work with? Are you feeling stuck? Perhaps you're feeling like no one truly 'gets you', or your kids are pushing you too your limits. Can you imagine how your kids feel? I happily work with individuals, couples, and families. I also work with children/adolescents (individually or preferably in families). I have seven years experience working in our Public Schools, with children of various ages thought to be "behavior issues". My work with couples is usually trying to keep them together by overcoming communication and relationship issues, I help them to navigate those waters to a happier and safer place. If however staying together is impossible I will help dissolve the relationship in a peaceful and healthy way. Families are unique because almost always there are one or two family members thought to be the issue. While that may be true, it is the whole family that ends up hurting or are the victims. All that trauma needs to be addressed.

Having also been trained as a Life Coach, my approach is to first get to know you, find out who you are, and most importantly who you want to be. In the therapy room, I don't sit in my chair, answering questions with questions, or nodding my head saying; "hum, and how does that make you feel?" I work with you using my training in a way that works best with you; everyone is different. I focus on mind/body and spirit. The joy of my training (Transpersonal psychology) is it is inclusive of all approaches from analytical and CBT to mindfulness meditation and art therapy; all of which are in my toolbox.

My practice focuses on:
- Child/Adolescent behavioral issues
- Trauma - PTSD
- Relationship issues
- Grief
- Depression and Anxiety
- When life has you 'stuck'

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

That's completely understandable. "The devil we know is better than the one we don't". In other words it's easier sometimes to take our day to day problems and either push them back so deep they are out of sight (and mind) or develop coping mechanisms to deal with them as effectually as possible. In the first instance the problems are not gone, and trust me they will reappear, and when you least expect them. The second you may be able to deal with them, but is that a solution? Often the same problem reoccurs and you only have to use the same coping skills time and time again. Only when we face the problem and try to solve it - moving out of our comfort zone - will the problem be solved. You may be one of the lucky ones to have a good friend that will listen to your problems anytime you want, but for most that means going to therapy. In therapy you have an empathic listener who wants to help you with your issues.
