My Approach to Helping
Therapy is about you and your feelings, therefore your time is very important to me, and our time spent together is your opportunity to unravel your deepest issues and concerns, gain insight on troubling matters and learn new ways to make important changes in your life. As we work together to bring about positive changes in your life, you will begin to realize that you made the right choice to seeking treatment. My main concerns are knowing that our work together is improving your state of well being.
My background in inpatient treatment means that I have worked with a vast array of clients and backgrounds. This setting has allowed me to utilize my skills and expertise to help bring about change. My goal is to help my clients achieve their highest goals and embrace their true selves.

I offer a safe, nurturing, empathetic environment that is free of judgment.
I also accept some insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and Magnacare insurance, and I am an out-of-network provider, which means that you may be able to get reimbursed from your insurance company. I also offer a limited number of sliding-scale slots for clients who face financial challenges and hardships.

I specialize in working with individuals that suffer from symptoms of Mood Dysfunctions including Depression and Anxiety. Trauma Therapy for individuals that may have experienced a traumatic event in their life, and may find themselves struggling to feel normal again, and regain some control over their life. This includes both past and present events. Couples and Relationship therapy for individuals that are having difficulties in their marriage and those who are experiencing conflicts in their current relationships. Also those who may have found themselves in either a toxic or co-dependent relationship as well. Singles Therapy for individuals who are having a difficult time being single, due to being recently divorce, or for those who may have found themselves single due to circumstances beyond their control, as well as those who may be single by choice.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
The client-therapist relationship is such an important alliance. This relationship has to be right, or else treatment will not work. The client has to be able to trust that their therapist can help them in relieving their symptoms. Therefore, this therapeutic match has to be the right fit, in order for it to be successful. The role of the therapist also has to match the client's expectations. My clients will find that I am there for them, and during the session they will come to find that I am completely focused on them, and will do my utmost best to help alleviate their symptoms. I encourage my clients to provide on going feedback when necessary about our therapeutic relationship, in order to provide the best care possible.
