My Approach to Helping
When we experience trauma, loss, or stressors in our lives, it is not uncommon for things to start to unravel or feel as though they are falling apart. I understand that dealing with hardships can be very difficult, as they can often lead to overwhelming emotions, anxiety, and depression. Please know that you are not alone and I can help. I promise to lead with my compassion, understanding, and support as we together take on your struggles at your pace. Together, we will create and strengthen resilience, pave the way to healing, and have you come back home to yourself stronger than ever. I help individuals, couples, and families understand the complexities of trauma, anxiety, and depression as well as provide solutions to aid in healing your mind, body, and soul. We all are unique, and you can expect your treatment will cater to your specific needs and goals throughout treatment.
My definition of crisis is where danger meets opportunity. Meaning that, during times of severe distress, times that we have lost hope and feel like we have nothing left to lose, hidden in the shadows, lies a beautiful transformative experience. I use trauma-informed care and integrate modalities such as AEDP, Psychodynamic, Existential, CBT, and DBT. When counseling couples, I use integrative dynamic mapping, Gottman techniques, and Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy.
