My Approach to Helping
In my 30 years of practice, I've seen clients dealing with a full spectrum of challenges. I've found that a flexible approach and open mind help the most. By deepening your awareness of all parts of yourself and learning to appreciate the complexity of your life, I can help you move into a more productive and balanced way of being.
Integrative psychotherapy requires you to take risks and be uncomfortable, probing into your own psyche and exploring your role in the global community. I use a humanistic and existential approach that helps you solve both immediate and long-term challenges.
I can help you end outdated habits that have interfered with your ability to embrace life. By developing mindfulness, you can learn lessons from the past while moving past bad habits, unproductive thought patterns, and painful challenges. I use several different techniques to help you address maladaptive patterns and negative thoughts, and in so doing, help my clients achieve rich, meaningful lives.
