My Approach to Helping
My approach is evidence-based, client-centered, collaborative, and empathic. I work from both a strengths-based perspective and through a trauma-informed lens, while incorporating treatment modalities that are specific to each person’s needs. Cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy are all modalities I pull from to incorporate into my practice, depending on what’s best for you.
I enjoy working with individuals living with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsion (OCD), and who are neurodivergent. Additionally, I am passionate about working with individuals going through life transitions, trauma-related concerns, relationship issues, LGBTQ+ issues, difficult family dynamics, and other life stressors. I also work with older children and their parents through individual and family sessions on topics including, but not limited to: communication, family conflicts, and parenting strategies.
