My approach comes from studying Jungian psychology, Existential psychology, and Gnostic Religion. My Inner Work started in 1985 when Gnosis came to me. In other words, I started addressing my anxiety, depression, and traumas head-on. My issues stopped me from developing in life. Now I have meaning and purpose in my life. I also started my studies in Jungian psychology at that time. I now consider my self an Empiricist. I believe that "Knowledge" is gained through learning from our experience, knowledge of the heart. The hardest part is unlearning all the crap we have been fed our entire lives. I am honest and direct. I treat clients like they have a brain in their head and guide them into their inner strength.

More Info About My Practice

All the people I have worked with that have seen other "therapists" tell me that I am very different. This is because I am direct, open, and honest. I am an old "Heart Warrior" (look it up.) Rollo May, an existential psychologist, said that the clinician and the client must have a human encounter and the only way the clinician can know if the client has changed is if the clinician has also changed.

Carl Jung said that the clinician can go into the client only as far as the clinician can go into themselves. Then they walk out together.

One last thing, I use humor as an anesthesia.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

"Disorder" to me means that the person has everything they need inside of them it is all simply out of order, all mixed up.

What Makes up a Problem?

"Not believing in your own instincts," and internalizing all the stuff that you are told is the truth. Here is one tiny example. Most of us have heard the saying, "Curiosity killed the cat," right? Well, that is only the first part of that old saying. The entire saying is, "Curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction brought it back!" Seriously, hardly anyone knows this anymore. Somewhere along the line, our culture left out the positive ending to the saying. The first part only tells the curious person to STOP BEING CURIOUS. The entire saying honors the trepidation of "acting on our your curiosity" then the last part promises "a new, rebirth of understanding", or the satisfaction of learning something new.
