My Approach to Helping
Looking for a therapist is a vulnerable and courageous step that you andor your family have taken. This can potentially be stressful and overwhelming, my hope is to help you feel comfortable with exploring what you may be searching for. There are times when all feel we know who we would like to be, but cannot quite find a way to get there alone. I believe that we are all doing the best we can at any given moment, and that any challenges a person, family, or couple may be experiencing, can be resolved with the right support. My hope is to offer a space to explore and develop a treatment plan that will match your specific needs.
I am trained in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectic behavioral therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement desensitization and Reprocessing), and person centered psychoanalysis. This allows me to provide comprehensive treatment for not only what brings you in initially, but also support any new challenges that may arise through our work together.
My style has been described as collaborative, warm, interactive, direct, and non-judgmental. I use a variety of techniques to bridge the gap between the conscious and unconscious. In doing so, balance is achieved between the self and the world allowing for healing and growth.
