My approach uses a collaborative strengths' based framework where I partner with you to accomplish your goals and heal from your past.
I strongly believe in the power and resiliency of the human spirit and have seen incredible transformations in my clients' lives. My hope has been and remains to bring healing and empowerment to my clients' lives.
I have a broad range of professional experience and integrate various therapeutic approaches based on what is going on to best meet a patient's needs. I create a safe and compassionate space where clients can share their story and receive effective feedback and support.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
Give it a try, be clear with your therapist what you are comfortable with, what pace you would like to move at, what your goals are and how to best support you. I will continue to check in with you asking for feedback and how you would like to proceed. I am a compassionate therapist and I create a safe and inviting space for you to share your concerns. The therapy process is not decided by me alone, YOU are the process you are an active participant in the process with strengths and insights unique to yourself. I value your feedback and participation in the therapy process.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
If anything going to therapy demonstrates a deep level of strength and self-awareness. Despite what society and others may say about attending therapy, it is a powerful tool for support and transformation. Therapy can create insight that leads to change. Growth, change, and transformation are all deeply powerful things to experience. Reframing a mindset from seeing one's self as weak/flawed to powerful/complete is an integral part of therapy.
