My Approach to Helping
Rachel Rogers has a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Western Illinois University. She has worked in multiple settings including residential behavioral care and community mental health. She utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and existentialism, while integrating whatever works best for her clients.
Rachel has been continuously called to help people since adolescence, when she joined several peer-mentorship programs in middle school. She has intentionally worked with a variety of different ages, ethnicities, and socioeconomic sectors throughout her education and real-world experience. Rachel has strived to foster healthy human connection in nearly every stage and area of life. Her natural compassion and concern for the well-being of all humanity has pushed her out of her comfort zone and became a natural lead-in to her pursuit of an advanced clinical counseling degree. Her personal belief system is deeply aligned with the passionate purpose of counseling.
