My Approach to Helping
I believe that it is possible to improve your mental health, experience healing, and feel more at peace. My goal is to help to develop healthy strategies for coping, dealing with unwanted thoughts and feelings, and improving your relationship with others and importantly, yourself. Sometimes we need long term counselling to deal with hurtful experiences, while other times a stressful event occurs that might need just a few meetings to address. My aim from the start of our journey is to ensure that you feel empowered, hopeful, and that we have a plan in place to help you to start feeling better.
I have experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, family dynamics, relationship stress, life transitions and chronic or life-altering illness, among many other issues. I have been working with individuals and families in Alberta for over fifteen years, and am grateful to have been a part of each one's journey.
I aim to create a welcoming, non-judgemental and safe space for all those I meet with.
