My Approach to Helping
I view therapy as a collaborative process, and from the beginning of our time together we’ll work in tandem to co-construct goals, explore challenges, tap into your intuition and deepest self-knowledge, and embrace self-compassion to uncover your strengths and reconnect with your most authentic self. My background in both performing arts and social justice initiatives informs how I connect with clients, bringing forth elements of self-awareness, authenticity, vulnerability, creativity, and even humor into each session.
I specialize in working with individuals, especially adolescents and young adults, to navigate the challenges of depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, disordered eating, and dating/relationships, with a particular passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community, and practice from an anti-oppressive, liberation-based, trauma-informed framework.
I seek to honor each person’s different lived experience by cultivating an environment of empathy, non-judgement, and compassionate curiosity so that clients may leave each session feeling appreciated, heard, and deeply understood.
