My Approach to Helping
There is no right or wrong way to live your life. You are the best judge of your own life decisions and goals, and I am here to support you with that. There may be certain techniques, habits, or knowledge that could contribute to your sense of wellbeing or help you cope with difficult emotions, and we can explore those together. If you are feeling stuck, alone in your struggles, worn down by depression, overcome by anxiety, or just want to appreciate and enjoy your life more, I would love to walk alongside you on your journey. I am here to help you make sense of your challenges and find a way to move forward.
I am a straight, white, cisgender female therapist, and am continually expanding awareness of my own sociocultural privileges and how they influence my work with clients. I strive to be gender affirming, sex positive, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive in my therapeutic approach. I am committed to resisting discrimination and oppression in any form. I celebrate body size diversity, LGBTQIA+ identities, disability inclusivity, and cultural humility. I advocate for the research and development of alternative treatments for chronic depression, anxiety, and PTSD, including psychedelic assisted therapy. I have particular interest in working with individuals undergoing ketamine therapy for mental health issues.
If you are looking for a creative approach to therapy, want to get to know yourself on a deeper level, or are seeking to honor your unique strengths and intuitive voice, I would love to work with you. Please reach out to connect with me!
