My Approach to Helping
I have worked with Individuals, families, and Couples for more than 8 years as a Mental Health Counselor. I have seen struggles with Addiction, Anger issues, Autism, Adoption, struggles with faith and spirituality, and breakdown of communication between couples and families. These strain tend to overwhelm individuals and the family system.
My training as a Clinical Counselor allows me to use different theories based on Client need. I believe that without treating the whole person, people are in danger of repeating the same behaviors and same struggles. My goal in therapy is to work side by side with my clients as they conquer those things that hinder them as well as help them navigate through life events such as new/difficult diagnosis, relationship difficulties, strain communication. I want to help them be of sound mind, be sure of themselves, and maintain their physical body to ensure good mental health, decreasing their stressors and developing skills to help them gain trust in self, and clear vision to obtain their desired outcome.
