My Approach to Helping
I completed my Master's and Doctoral degrees at LIU Post in Brookville, NY. While in school I received broad training in providing psychotherapy to adults and children for a wide variety of problems, as well as in psychological evaluation. As a student, I trained at inpatient hospitals, community mental health centers, and outpatient specialty centers. I have extensive experience working with people with developmental disabilities, providing behavior modification services, psychotherapy, and psychological evaluations. I am also trained to conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans for individuals involved in the criminal justice system. Finally, I have a personal and professional passion for behavioral weight management and have sought specialized training in this area. Although I am trained to provide treatment using both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral techniques, I lean heavily towards behavioral and cognitive behavioral methods.
