My Approach to Helping
"It is not an error that you have been born a sensitive human being with a tender nervous system and an emotional body that is rippling with life." - M.L.
My integrative practice was born out of my desire for human connection and the healing that comes from being in relationship. Being alive is a wild and precious thing, but at times, it can be profoundly painful, isolating, and difficult to be a human on this journey. I believe that therapy offers a distinctive opportunity to navigate both the tender and challenging aspects of the human heart. Processing, communicating, growing, healing, grieving, and feeling are profound experiences meant to be both shared and witnessed.
My goal is to create a therapeutic environment that is both safe and liberating, allowing individuals to explore not only their pain and suffering but also the joys and richness of life. In the context of a therapeutic relationship, I strive to facilitate deeper self-understanding by creating a space where individuals can reflect and share their inner worlds.
In addition to my generalized practice, I often work with male-identified teens and young men aged 18 to 30 (and older). I understand the unique pressures and emotional experiences that come with these stages of development, and I am committed to providing a safe, compassionate space where they can explore and grow.
