My Approach to Helping
My goal is to use my training and expertise to serve individuals, couples and families of diverse backgrounds. If I am not able to help personally; I will ensure that everyone who seeks help is pointed in a direction in which the appropriate assistance that they may require is available.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I have particular expertise in working with men and men's concerns. In 2013, I founded the Men's Mental Health Center, because of a strong desire that I have to help men in our society lead better lives. America is a matrifocal society and men are living in "interesting" times. I believe I have a pretty good understanding of men and of the issues that affect them. For that reason, I believe I am able to relate to them professionally and make a significant difference with whatever concerns they may bring. I have been doing this for many years and it is one of the things that I continue to do well.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is basically "Talk Therapy." But talk therapy is more than just talk. The importance of dialogue among individuals in a non-threatening and confidential atmosphere is unquestionable. Additionally, there are several schools of formal talk therapies that have been proven consistently to be very effective in helping individuals with a plethora of life concerns. It is said, and I look at it this way: "If i give you a $100 bill and you give me one, between us we still have a $100 bill each. However, if we talk, if we have any kind of verbal exchange, If I give you an idea and you give me one, we each have two ideas. Now, if the ideas are useful, just think of what we could do with the new ideas that we receive from others."
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
As a Psychotherapist, I am afforded the opportunity on a daily basis, to relate to individuals at a level that very few ever do, throughout their entire lives. I remain fully aware of the enormous fiduciary responsibility that this opportunity provides me as I help others realize their full potential and express their best selves. I learn from them, as they do from me. I feel very fortunate that they choose to share their lives with me. I do not take my role lightly, nor do I take it for granted. I always give my best, even during the tough times. I feel truly grateful for the opportunity to serve others. I have seen people at their worst but also at their very best. With all the challenges and sometimes-even disappointments, I consider myself a very humble, but still a seasoned professional helper, who is still growing. I love what I do. It has brought me significant joy and I look forward to serving for as long as I can.
