My Approach to Helping
Psychotherapy is a collaborative exploration that can help you connect more deeply with yourself and with others. Together we will explore whatever is troubling you, whether it's feelings of anxiety or depression,lack of meaning or alienation, work-life balance, or perhaps addictions or compulsions. No matter what you are experiencing at the present time or what has occurred in your life, there is a place of wholeness within you that has never been harmed, that is waiting to be discovered or uncovered. The therapeutic process is like "peeling the layers of the onion," helping you become aware of, understand and release ways of acting, reacting, and interacting that no longer serve you.
Through our curiosity, attention and acceptance, it is likely that your life will become fuller and richer, with more meaning, peace and happiness. In our work together, people often experience a renewed or deeper sense of connection to themselves, others and life and are able to make the changes they desire in their lives.
