My Approach to Helping
Making this call is your first step toward transforming your suffering into an opportunity to grow. Everyone needs help at times. Whether your struggle involves a relationship, a traumatic event or a major life change, you want a therapist who can listen without judgement and offer a safe space for you to clarify your needs and feelings. A therapist who truly supports your wellbeing and who brings a wealth of knowledge to your situation.
My job is to help you connect with strengths that are already within you, as in everyone, ready to be activated in the service of your quality of life. My experience both receiving and offering psychotherapy has been life changing. I aim for yours to be life changing as well.
My approach is a blend of the most effective therapies available, having continuously broadened my therapeutic capacities for over 30 years. These include a combination of body-oriented, insight oriented and cognitive-behavioral approaches.
Psychotherapy is more of a calling than an occupation. It's who I am and the opportunity to help people is a true gift.

More Info About My Practice
You may be called to this process because you sense a change wants to happen but you feel stuck, lost or confused. You may be sad, anxious or overwhelmed much of the time. This may be due to a current experience for which you require new capacities or long held self-limiting beliefs about yourself that unconsciously undermine you. We can discover new or forgotten aspects of you that help to restore your wholeness and vitality.
Concerns and issues I can help with include relationship issues, traumas and life transitions of all kinds for young adults, adults and couples.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
You must be wondering whether therapy will help, being that you've probably been struggling alone for a while. Making the call and asking questions about how a therapist may meet your needs will help a lot. You can also sense how comfortable you feel in the conversation and how aligned with your preferences are with the therapist. If you've had a negative therapy experience, you may wish to share specific concerns. Many of us are qualified but don't be afraid to go with whom you feel most drawn. You'll learn a lot and gradually find comfort with the experience of seeking help.
