My Approach to Helping
Sometimes, life can become too stressful, but change may not be as difficult as you may think. If you are ready to make the changes necessary so that your life has hope, balance, health, and peace, then I may be able to help you reach your goal. Change happens when you feel supported, and you feel confident. In therapy, I work with you, within a relationship that is built on trust, empathy, guidance, competence, open and honest communication, and focused interventions.
I have worked with children and their families for many years in an educational setting. I have helped families build resiliency to help foster stronger families. I have, for the past few years, worked with individuals, couples, various groups, children, adolescents, and families.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Like everyone, I have had many struggles in my life. I have had and survived cancer, I have lost close family members, I have been stressed, and I have felt, at times, like I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I have survived, and I have overcome when I thought I could not. As time passed, I began to have a better understanding of myself and what was really important to me. I have learned, through my struggles, that I have more strengths than even I realized I had, and that sometimes, with some help, I was able to tap into those strengths to help me reach that light at the end of the tunnel
