My Approach to Helping
Romantic relationships can become strained over time resulting in conflict or disconnect leaving both partners feeling alone, angry, sad and distant from the other. My goal is to help couples reduce conflict, increase understanding, and to find their way back to each other.
I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to help you both become aware of and share with each other the fears and desires that are trapping you in a negative pattern with each other resulting in the conflict. Depression and anxiety and other difficulties in life can have their root in past experiences and how those experiences left us feeling about ourselves. Getting to the bottom of the negative self beliefs you have is key to improving the problems your facing today. I am a trained EMDR and EFT therapist.
