Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I started my career almost forty years ago as a nurse-midwife in Israel. Coming to the USA over 30 years ago, I completed the MS in Nursing and worked in Labor and Delivery Room and as an advice nurse for postpartum and a lactation consultant for postpartum mothers. Facilitating support groups and identifying the need for counseling, I went back to school to Johns Hopkins University and completed my training in counseling. I also took advanced classes and training in Gottman's marriage Counseling, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Prepare Enrich premarital counseling. I believe a good caring, trained and experienced marriage counselor can help couples and individuals find their voice in the togetherness. with the right guidance, couples can reconnect, bond and create a nurturing, healthy environment for their family.
I do not accept insurance because I believe in the "Boutique Style" vs the "Department Store" approach in counseling. Not accepting insurance allows us, provider and client, the freedom to customize plans and be more proactive.
