My Approach to Helping
As a licensed psychologist, I have experience helping people of many different backgrounds, life stages, challenges, and strengths. Whether you've participated in therapy before or are interested in trying it for the first time, I look forward to helping you learn to cope with challenges you're facing, learn more about yourself, and become more in tune with your own values so you can achieve your goals and create a life you enjoy. I welcome clients who are ready to examine the causes of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and who are willing to receive constructive feedback and engage in dialogue about how they can make positive changes in their lives. I specialize in seeing clients age 18 and older, using a variety of therapeutic techniques, including (but not limited to) psychodynamic theory, interpersonal therapy, existential and humanistic approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. Self-care is also a topic of great interest and importance to me, and one of my treatment focuses is helping clients learn more about balancing care of self with regard for others. Please feel free to visit my practice website, call my office or email me if you are interested in scheduling an appointment, or for more information about my services.
