My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Mind-Body Specialist. I have been helping clients improve their quality of life for 20 years. Prior to my work as a therapist, I worked as a health coach and fitness consultant. My approach merges these two fields as I take a strengths based and solution focused approach to addressing anxiety, relationship challenges, and behavior change. With an existential lens, I utilize narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mind-body techniques, as I work with clients to identify unmet needs and patterns. I am involved in therapists’ education with a focus on curriculum development as well as counselor supervision. My current research examines the effects of bias on individuals and looks toward interventions to help remedy these effects.
