My Approach to Helping
As a Marriage & Family Therapist, my speciality is helping those with relationship issues. Regardless what stage you are in (single, dating, engaged, or married), Below are the different services I provide:
Relationship Counseling - This service is geared towards individuals who struggle with relationships, whether its between your family, friends, coworkers or significant other. What I provide is a space for individuals to reflect on their relational struggles, learn how to build skills that would enhance the relationships around you and discover best ways to improve your interaction with others that will bring out the best in you.
Couples Therapy - This service is geared towards any couple (from dating to seasoned couples) that are struggling with the basic relationship issues (i.e. communication, trust, expectations, social media, intimacy, etc). This service is designed to help couples learn how to enhance their communication skills so that when they continue to grow, they are well equipt to face whatever challenge that life may throw their way.
Premarital Counseling - This service is for engaged couples who are dealing with stress and issues that show up when preparing for marriage. During premarital counseling sessions, engaged couples will discuss topics such as wedding planning stress, differences in values that may cause issues (i.e. political or religious beliefs, having children, cohabiting, etc), conversations around life after the wedding, etc. This service can also be provided to individuals who may experience cold feet (anxiousness or worry prior to the wedding).
Marriage Counseling - This is for newlyweds and seasoned married couples. This service is designed to explore the aspects of married life and how to move through difficulties around marriage expectation (i.e. raising and discipling children, finanical decisions or hardship, marital affaris, divorceseperation, etc).
Family Therapy - This is specifically for parents of teens. Whether you struggle with coparenting or just not sure how to handle the emotional rollercoaster that comes with raising a teenager, this service is to help breakdown communication issues, as a way to enhance family bonding, learn effective parentingcoparenting techniques, and address concerning or problematic behaviors. Family sessions (unlike couples) can be broken down to best address all aspects of the family (i.e. sessions with parents only, teen only, parent & teen, siblings only, or entire family [even if it is important to incorporate extended family members such as uncles, aunts, cousins or grandparents]).
Thoughout the past 10 years, I have received advanced clinical training and gained years of professional counseling skills.
