My Approach to Helping
In an instant, Coronavirus changed our world. Our daily lives have been upended, and we’re all experiencing challenging and complicated emotions including sadness, loneliness, fear, and grief over the loss of a sense of normalcy. Our relationships are being tested, especially the one we have with ourselves. In times like these, stress can resurface old patterns, even ones we thought we had moved past. Virtual therapy can help navigate these uncomfortable changes and complex emotions. Together, we’ll work to break free of these patterns that show up in our work, our relationships, and within ourselves.
I specialize in therapy that considers the whole person –– mind, body, past, and present. Together, we’ll examine the ways in which we often feel stuck, work to understand and untangle patterns that may be holding us back, and create meaningful and lasting change.
My approach is integrative, unique to the individual, and informed by: mindfulness, somatic (body) awareness, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and psychodynamic and attachment theories. It also pulls from my experiences with nutrition, breathwork, and teaching fitness. All together, we’ll work to help better your relationship with yourself, and move toward the life you want with clarity, confidence, and support.
