My Approach to Helping
Life doesn't always work out as we plan it. There might be periods in life when we may feel that we have lost everything, that life has no purpose, and there is nothing to look forward to. It takes a lot of strength and courage to emerge and re-emerge over and over again despite all of the challenges in our way.
Having a psychotherapist by your side as you walk along the path of life can be helpful. Psychotherapy provides a safe space where you can talk through your troubles, look for root causes and problem-solve. It doesn't eliminate obstacles in your way but it does offer support during your journey and encouragement not to give up.
I help clients with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety (excessive worrying, OCD, perfectionism, social anxiety, panic disorder, phobias), pregnancy-related issues, emotional and relationship difficulties, life transitions and adjustments (graduating college, becoming a parent, getting married or divorced, changing careers, being diagnosed with a chronic illness, etc), lifestyle issues (nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management).
In my clinical practice I integrate elements from different schools of psychotherapy and develop an individualized approach to each client depending on the presenting issues.
