My Approach to Helping

Dr. Oksoon Cho is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who enjoys working with immigrant families including the first generation immigrant parents and their children, couples, young adults, and the elderly in order to help them to live healthier and happier lives in the U.S. Dr. Cho's counseling approaches are client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused, and strength-based. Each person is unique with individual needs to be addressed, so Dr. Cho integrates to find the best way to meet the client's unique need. Dr. Cho also provides Telehealth Service including phone counseling and online counseling.

Dr. Cho's greatest reward as a therapist is helping immigrants families and individuals with relationship problems and various adjustment issues in the U.S. Her specialties include immigrant women's issues, couple and parenting issues, children and adolescent issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship issues.

Dr. Cho is a bilingual counselor who fluently speaks English and Korean. Feel free to call with any questions or concerns you may have about beginning the therapeutic relationship on the journey of self discovery.
