My Approach to Helping
Every person is worthy of respect and support. There are times in life when we seek help outside our circle of friends and family to re-connect with ourselves as valuable human beings, wishing to be happy and fulfilled. Hoping to make sense of our lives, to feel useful, creative, to belong to oneself, and contribute to the world are human longings. I am privileged to accompany people on this deeply personal, yet universal journey.
As a therapist and coach, I find meaning and joy in providing a safe place for teens and adults to experience clarity and courage, leading to thoughtful action in life. Sometimes that means opening to fresh ways of seeing and being, speaking with a true voice, and accepting oneself with understanding and compassion. As challenging as this can be, it can also mean the dawning of an exciting and purposeful time in families, school, the workplace, and larger community, perhaps in an unexpected calling.
My background is diverse and multi-culturally based. Therefore, I am able to offer a variety of therapeutic approaches for well-being. These include but are not limited to dialogue, focusing, healing arts, mindfulness practices, and meditation. Through listening and being present without judgment, I get to know you and learn what this time in your life is all about. I strive to support you to take thoughtful action towards realizing your vision, your own unique and beautiful expression of living creatively and with ease.
