My Approach to Helping

Do you often ask yourself if you matter? Think you're not good enough? Feeling like you can't get it together?
Is the pain of the past interfering with your life today?

Sometimes things happen to us that leave us feeling guilty, out of control, ashamed, anxious, and depressed.

Are you struggling with unresolved issues from the past? Have you have lost a loved one to homicide or suicide? Have you have experienced the trauma of childhood sexual or physical abuse, sexual assault or domestic violence?

There is hope. Your past doesn't have to define who you are - you can reclaim your life. The path to healing and wholeness is challenging, but the end result is well worth it.

Together, we will work through the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that keep you from living the happy, healthy life you deserve.

More Info About My Practice

My approach to counseling is person-centered. It's about you.

We will work together to get to what you want to accomplish in therapy. We will work on rediscovering your strengths while using your own resiliency; we will reprocess past trauma at your own pace to change the negative thoughts you have about who you are. We will use mindfulness exercises, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and other approaches to get you to who you want to be.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Asking for help can be daunting - but please consider it a strength, rather than a weakness. Pain often becomes bearable, challenges are surmountable when shared. I am committed to providing an affirming, non-judgmental, safe space for you to share what's on your mind and heart.
