My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy is to walk with you through life changes, with a non-judgmental approach. Therapeutic techniques have fancy names and sound complicated, but what really matters is being with a therapist who cares about you. I thoroughly enjoy seeing my clients discover their strengths and work their way through tough situations, learning more about themselves and their world. Helping you grow is my goal.

In addition to training in Marriage and Family Therapy, I also have extensive experience in teaching Anger Management and Stress Management. In addition, I hold a license in clinical Alcohol and Drug counseling. In situations when drugs or alcohol play a part in family conflict, this experience can be extremely helpful. I also have treated many clients with trauma or PTSD, which can be very debilitating. In addition, I have a Masters degree in Christian Theology, and can help clients who have spiritual concerns when they request such help.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
There are times when people find themselves in a situation where all of the old rules that they used to live by do not work anymore. Psychotherapy can help a client to see beyond established ways of thinking, and enhance the way they look at the world. For couples, it can help them to learn new ways of relating and viewing each other. I believe life is meant to be lived to the fullest, and Psychotherapy can help people do just that.
