My Approach to Helping

I use a strength-based approach with my clients to help them reach their full potential and live a more fulfilling and well-balanced life. I think it is important to help clients use the resources they have as well as their own personal strengths in order to discover more about themselves to lead a healthier, more positive lifestyle that will promote overall well-being.

More Info About My Practice

My office is located in downtown Toms River, close to the courthouse, downtown area, and country club. There is plenty of parking and it is a beautiful office building. I also offer telephone sessions and for an additional fee, I can provide some in-home therapy, if it is the right fit.

My role as a therapist is to help you utilize your own strengths and resources to overcome various areas you are struggling with. By helping you recognize this about yourself and improve your overall self-image and confidence, you will be able to unlock unlimited potential to help you solve many of life's challenges in an effective way.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Therapy is different for everyone. What works for someone, might not work for someone else. One of my strengths is that I am able to adapt to my clients' needs and work together to find a solution. Communication is everything. You have to be able to trust your therapist to help you and be open-minded to your unique needs. After all, each person is an individual and has had a different life experience than anyone else. Therapy should be tailored to you specifically. I check in with my clients throughout the process to find out what is working and what is not. My goal is to make sure you are comfortable and achieving your goals.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

There is a common stigma regarding therapy that implies that people who seek help are weak or flawed. This is absolutely not true. A person who is looking to improve something about themselves or make positive changes is a symbol of strength and open mindedness.
