My Approach to Helping

Beginning the therapeutic journey can sometimes feel scary and overwhelming. At Everyday Self Counselling, I strive on building therapeutic relationships through connecting and relating to one another as individuals; making this process feel easy, natural, and comfortable.

I work with millennial's, young adults, and modern couples to manage everyday stressors and find clarity in their lives. My goal when you walk into my office is to make you feel at home and safe to express yourself . So kick your shoes off, grab a coffee, tea, curl up on the couch & let's chat!

My scope of practice specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, stress, relationship conflict, and trauma by working collaboratively to develop your coping toolbox and becoming a healthier and happier version of you! You are your best expert, so I aim to engage in a client-centred approach to best support your goals and needs of therapy.

With societal norms tearing us in different directions, the stress of life making it feel near impossible to catch a break, or just feeling burnout and running out of steam; we need a safe, comfortable space to let our guards down and figure it all out. Together, we can reconnect with our true, everyday selves! Call for your free 15-minute consult today!

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The client-therapist alliance is essential in making your therapy experience feel goal-oriented, comfortable, and effortless. In essence, when I work with you, my initial goal is making you feel at home. When I welcome clients to my office, I offer a cup of coffee or tea, and invite them to sit and just chat! After all, being able to feel as though you are able to spend 1-hour completely dedicated to you is hard to come by these days. The relationship we build is important in ensuring that you gain a sense of peace within your presenting concerns and learn to overcome some of the triggers and emotional threats that are holding you back. Trusting one another in my therapy space makes this work possible!

My approach to therapy is simple: giving clients some peace of mind, sense of direction to navigate their concerns, and leaving therapy as though they have gained more than what they came in with. Through collaborative work together, we will tackle your greatest concerns with ease, confidentiality, and solution-focused approaches.
