My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in self-esteem, eating issues, athletes and people with active lives, injury recovery, body dysmorphia, anxiety, depression, and weight management. How we view ourselves affects our relationship with our body, which is one of the most important relationships we ever have. I help clients improve this relationship by walking alongside them with evidence-based approaches.
More Info About My Practice
I offer therapy in a few different ways. First is in office and tele therapy (via phone or video). However, I like to incorporate movement into my practice. This involves stretching a yoga poses, and when the weather is nice, walk and talk therapy. I am currently training my dog, Rover to become a therapy dog. Sometimes you may see him hard at work, and he will be working on his skills right alongside of you!
My Role as a Therapist
My work begins by building a strong, caring therapeutic relationship. Seeking therapy indicates strength, not weakness. I help clients build on their strengths and nurture physical, emotional, and mental health. I help my clients cultivate a still mind to balance an active body.
