My Approach to Helping
Hi! My name is Nichola Smith and I have over 15 years of counseling experience. I have worked with diverse clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, interpersonal conflict, self-esteem issues, problems adjusting to change/life transitions, and career challenges. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma or emotional abuse and grief and loss.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I have a non-judgemental approach. My integrative approach combines cognitive behavioral, solution-focused brief therapy, and person-centered orientations among others. I will tailor our sessions to meet your unique and specific needs.
