My Approach to Helping
Sometimes life events make it difficult to stay positive and feel emotionally healthy. My goal as your therapist is to help you navigate life's twists and turns so that you can feel like the best possible version of yourself. Everyone needs someone in their life who is supportive and encouraging, while also being real with you. This is where I come in. I am a licensed psychologist with 11 years of experience working with adults from a wide-range of backgrounds. I see an array of presenting concerns from depression and anxiety to grief and loss, and
I have an interest in working with adults who have been impacted by interpersonal trauma, including but not limited to sexual assault, emotional abuse, and relationship violence.
I believe all the different parts of you combine to make a unique experience in therapy. My role is to affirm these parts of you (age, race/ethnicity, socio-economic background, sexual orientation, gender expression) and understand how or if they interact with what is bringing you in to therapy.
