My Approach to Helping
"In all chaos, there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order." Carl Jung
I believe that people are more than what has happened to them. They are also what they choose to be. Therapy offers a safe, private space where you can form a mutually respectful relationship with your therapist that enables you to deepen your understanding of your choices and capabilities.
I am interactive, accepting, warm, and encouraging. We collaborate so I can offer you positive feedback, insights about your mind, and a healthy set of coping skills. This insight can eventually help you get unstuck, so you can abandon unhealthy behaviors and embrace new ones.
I graduated from Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in Boston with a doctorate. I am skilled at a variety of treatment methods, including cognitive-behavioral (CBT), humanistic, family systems, and psychodynamic. I have a diverse clinical background in different areas including the treatment of Depression and Anxiety, Childhood Physical and Sexual Abuse, PTSD, Domestic Violence, Infidelity, and Affair Recovery, Eating Disorder, Weight Management, Sexual Identity, Gay/Lesbian Issues, and Adoption.
