My Approach to Helping
I always meet the person where they are at. I work with their interests, experience, and ability and build off of their own strengths to help improve on the good that they already have. I know that talk therapy is not always the preferred method of therapy, so I have trained and I am experienced with multiple different types of therapeutic interventions beyond traditional talk therapy.
More Info About My Practice
I seek to provide the most efficient treatment possible. Because I know the importance of the body has with mental health issues, I have developed an expertise in the area of physical fitness to improve the mind, incorporating some of the most effective techniques for improving mental health.
My Role as a Therapist
I try to help clients figure out the best answer for themselves. I like helping people figure out how to be able to learn how to solve their own problems and eventually no longer needing a therapist. It's nice to be needed, but it is also nice not to be.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
I have been told by many clients that I am a very easy person to talk to. As I mentioned before, I meet a client where they are at, and that is the same in conversation. Talking to a therapist should feel like talking to a friend. Some of the conversations may be serious, but a therapy session is a safe and comfortable place to express how you feel.
