My Approach to Helping
My clients include adults dealing with depression, anxiety, performance impairment, stress-related conditions, as well as those choosing to "raise their game." Regardless of their reason for seeking therapy, many of my clients bring important resources rooted in their personal journey of faith or search for meaning. If spiritual aspects of your life are important, I invite you to share that in our work together.
What is the "best" approach to psychotherapy? That depends on a shared understanding of your distinctive traits and goals. Two methods I often find useful are cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal psychotherapy. For those dealing with stress-related conditions, I frequently use specialized tools such as neurofeedback as part of an effective treatment plan.
