My Approach to Helping
A registered marriage and family therapist intern, Natalie is also an Anger Management 818 facilitator. She works in private practice, and is supervised by Anita Avedian, LMFT, CAMS, IV. In graduate school, Natalie counsels families, teens, children, individuals, and adults about relationship issues, anger, divorce, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, PTSD, and ADHD. After finishing graduate school, she continued working as a marriage and family therapist intern at Phillips Counseling Center. There she provided interventions and coping skills to children facing crises.
Natalie also has training and education in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), anger management, mindfulness, child abuse, trauma-focused therapy, and domestic violence. She cultivates a safe space for clients to comfortably discuss their feelings, thoughts, and emotions in privacy. She is a certified anger management facilitator through NAMA and Anger Management Essentials. Anger Management 818 works with voluntary and court-appointed clients. Natalie also facilitates the Sherman Oaks Teen Anger Management Group Fridays, and an adult Glendale group on Thursdays. She sees individual clients in Sherman Oaks, Glendale, and Woodland Hills.
Natalie fluently speaks Armenian and English. She offers a safe space for clients to pursue their goals. She is accepting and nonjudgmental, and encourages families, couples, and individuals to work daily with their challenges.
