My Approach to Helping
Hello! Are you looking for healing and empowerment? We may be a good fit! My clinical work heavily revolves around taking a relational and encouraging approach to helping you move forward. I primarily apply an Adlerian therapy perspective while also incorporating Cognitive-Behavioral, mindfulness, and play therapy approaches. I am passionate about working with kids, teenagers, and parents. When working with children, I often use a collaborative, skills-based, and fun approach. At the same time, I work with many young to middle-aged adults who look for a supportive and open-minded therapist.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Although trained in treating a variety of clinical issues, my strong suits include anxiety, depression, ADHD, high functioning autism, behavioral issues, and trauma. My clinical and academic interests include existential crises, family systems, and emotional personalities. It is notable that I also value diversity and culture, and I welcome the exploration of these topics, specifically how it relates to your identity, relationships, and society at large.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
I try very hard to uphold a high standard of ethics and integrity to the art of therapy. This means that we create the therapy to fit your needs using evidence-based approaches, compassion, and on-going feedback regarding the therapy experience. I offer a trusting, safe relationship for you to process hardships and to problem solve how to reach your goals.
Therapy can be brief or long-term based on your needs. Therapy can be structured and skills based, or, unstructured and process-oriented, based on what works best for your style. What stays the same in either situation is the non-judgemental, collaborative, and encouraging space I offer that creates a nurturing foundation for your growth.
