My Approach to Helping
Strength doesn't mean avoiding pain. It means being present in moments of darkness, confident the light will again shine. My goal as a therapist is to provide clients a safe and relaxing space to freely and honestly speak. I engage, motivate, and guide them. I use problem solving, motivational, client-centered techniques. I am empathetic, helping clients feel at ease so they can explore their problems from a new perspective.
I work with individuals and couples to manage a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, adolescent transitions, life transitions, eating disorders, relationship concerns, behavioral issues, PTSD, self-esteem, loss, and grief.
I strive to build a collaborative relationship with each client. We set goals together, contemplate together, and explore together, to help the client achieve their goals.
