My Approach to Helping

I offer affordable psychotherapy or recovery mentoring to those struggling with eating disorders. I work with people - not a diagnosis. Over the years, I have worked extensively with people struggling with eating disorders. I have worked in various well-known treatment facilities among individuals at all levels of care. I have been witness to all types of eating disorders and know that no disorder looks the same. As a mental health provider, I am here to learn about your experience and where you wish to go in the future.

I come from a client-centered perspective where we will work collaboratively to find a recovery approach that feels best for you. I am also a trained yoga teacher, as well as a professional artist. I have seen the power of merging these aspects into my work to deepen the client's exploration of their creativity and connection with their body.

I chose this line of work because I am passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential. Each person is unique, and it is an honor to walk alongside them in their journey towards well-being. Every step along the therapeutic journey demonstrates the bravery which accompanies vulnerability, and that is a joy to witness.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I speak openly and honestly about my own recovery while working with clients. I even offer personal eating disorder recovery mentoring for those who wish to have a more collaborative approach to their healing. I believe that my struggles are able to inform my practice to the complexity and uniqueness that each eating disorder presents itself with.
