My Approach to Helping
Have you been noticing that your anxiety, worries, and inner critic are getting in the way of your happiness? Perhaps you find yourself stressing about your family, your career, and your future. No matter how much you try, you just can’t seem to turn your mind off. Your day goes by in a haze of anxiety and worry. You don't even know yourself anymore and what you want out of life. You’re not quite sure how you got to this point but you know that something needs to change.
You long to make sense of the confusing jumble of thoughts you are having, and to make the worries go away. You crave a sense of direction with where you’re going with your life. You yearn to be present to your needs and the things that matter to you. If you choose to work with me, I can help you get there.
I use several modalities, including CBT and DBT, to help clients build skills and gain insight in several areas of their lives, including how to cope with difficult emotions, how to manage crises and stressful situations, how to communicate their needs clearly to others, and how to live more mindfully and feel more present within their own lives. I work with clients to help them address situational stressors that may be contributing to their struggles, along with identifying patterns and core beliefs that may be holding them back from a better life. My treatment focuses on clients seeking help with anxiety, addiction, and maternal mental health struggles, such as pregnancy loss and perinatal anxiety and depression.
You are entitled to the self-care that therapy provides. It can be challenging for each of us to find a space within our lives to reflect freely on our inner experiences. As your therapist, it is my goal to create an environment where you can be authentic to express anything you need, and to feel heard, seen, and valued. I welcome you to reach out to me with any questions you may have, and look forward to hearing from you.
