My Approach to Helping
As your therapist, I can help you learn about the relationship between your thoughts, moods, physical symptoms, and behaviors. Along the way, we can collaborate to develop skills to help you manage stress and any difficult emotions you may be experiencing.
I mainly utilize a trauma-informed approach, as most of my experience has been with at-risk youth and victims of domestic violence. However, I don’t subscribe to any single theoretical approach. While allowing you to share your experiences, I employ techniques associated with cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic theory.
I am passionate about empowering men and women to live happy, healthy, and productive lives. I understand how past experiences and any patterns developed as a result can often get in the way of you and your best self. I want to be your ally in implementing healthy coping, communication, and relationship skills into your daily life.
